The Girl Power message empowered girls and women to believe in themselves and their dreams, no matter what society said.

Girl Power championed individuality and self-expression, cultivating a spirit of strength and independence among young girls and women.

It served as a cultural catalyst for confidence, assertiveness, and the unapologetic embrace of one's authentic self. The movement's emphasis on female empowerment, independence, and unity became a rallying cry, echoing the collective strength of girls and women who were breaking free from societal constraints globally.

WE DEFIED GENDER ROLES & STEREOTYPES

The Girl Power movement served as a cultural catalyst to continue challenging entrenched notions of traditional gender roles. By encouraging girls to embrace and celebrate their unique qualities, it challenged societal expectations and taught us that we could aspire to new heights. The empowering ethos planted a seed in our consciousness to break free from societal confines, pursue our goals, and assert our identities unapologetically and confidently.

We Celebrated
Female Friendship

The Girl Power movement stood as a powerful advocate for female friendship, celebrating and emphasizing its profound importance. In doing so, it ignited a sense of unity and solidarity that transcended cultural boundaries, fostering connections among diverse communities.

By representing different archetypes that girls and women could relate to, the movement not only celebrated diversity but also promoted inclusivity and equality. This ethos extended beyond interpersonal relationships, encouraging a world where girls and women could confidently pursue their ambitions, emphasizing the transformative power of unity, friendship, and a collective celebration of diverse identities.

BUT below the surface, we were being taught conflicting cultural messaging...

  • We were also taught that femininity was a weakness.

  • Our bodies and monthly cycles were shameful or disgusting.

  • Feelings and vulnerability were things to be overcome.

  • You had to be tough.

  • Intuition wasn't a real thing.

The roots of patriarchy and hierarchy were still in place. Thus, we have a very distorted understanding of what power is.

Do you know how powerful we are?

THE FUTURE IS FEMALE

Feminine energy dances and flows with the current of life. It is creative, expansive, and connected to intuition and other ways of "knowing" (nature-based and body wisdom).

Every human has both feminine and masculine energy within them (you were created by a man and a woman thus you have both of their energy in you regardless of your gender at birth).

Feminine energy has been suppressed by both men and women for centuries because masculine qualities have been regarded as superior. Our world is off-balance because of it.

Male attempts to control women's bodies and their expression manifests in a multitude of ways depending on context and the culture but the essence of domination and control of the feminine principle is the same globally.

Feminine energy is extremely powerful and has thus been controlled and suppressed. It is expansive, innately creative, open, flowing, attractive, receptive (and more! we are powerful) whereas masculine energy is more directive, linear, based in logic and reason (and more).

Some words to describe the feminine principle include: receptive, surrender, feeling, intuition, restorative, nurturing, creation, sensual, connection, healing.

Relating from your feminine principle allows you to open yourself and express emotion from a place of vulnerability, not weakness. It allows you to flow with life and surrender into being.

As women we need to cultivate our feminine qualities and get more in tune with our true nature. Our feminine energy unlocks our power, and it is our birthright. The world needs more feminine warmth!

From Girl Power to Feminine Rising

From girl power to feminine rising,
we heal together.

Girl Power taught you the importance of female friendships, and Feminine Rising builds on that foundation. It's about forging deep connections with other women, recognizing and lifting each other up as you navigate the complexities of womanhood.

It's a sisterhood that extends beyond borders, embracing the strength that comes from unity.

The connection that women share is unique and valuable, as it provides a safe and supportive space for women to express themselves, share their experiences, and seek guidance.

We have the potential to create spaces of connection, empathy, healing, and empowerment simply by being in our essence.

When women are in their healthy feminine energy, they bond over shared experiences and offer emotional support for others when they need help navigating life’s inevitable challenges. Listening, providing comfort, and uplifting others by seeing their strengths and abilities is our way

Feminine Rising places a strong emphasis on healing, not just in the physical sense but on a soul level.

It acknowledges that, along with the strength, there might be wounds – wounds from societal expectations, gender norms, or personal struggles and traumas.

It provides a space for healing, for acknowledging vulnerabilities without seeing them as weaknesses. It's about finding wholeness and resilience through the journey into and through womanhood.

While Girl Power celebrated girls making noise in the external world, Feminine Rising celebrates the transition to internal strength as women.

It's about recognizing that true empowerment is not just about outer achievements but about nurturing a reservoir of inner strength, resilience, and wisdom.

While Girl Power often emphasized a more assertive, masculine energy in the external world, Feminine Rising recognizes the importance of balance on a deeper level.

It's about integrating the powerful qualities traditionally associated with both femininity and masculinity within your soul. This doesn't mean diluting your strength but rather enhancing it with a more holistic and harmonious approach.

Girl Power was often about external power, asserting yourself in a man's world. Feminine Rising, on the other hand, is a call to reclaim women's ways of being and knowing. It’s about connecting with your inner power, tapping into soul-based wisdom, and acknowledging the strength that comes from embracing your true self.

While Girl Power urged us to be bold and confident as girls, Feminine Rising invites us to explore the richness of our femininity on a soul level as women.

It's not just about conquering the world; it's about understanding and embracing all aspects of yourself – the fierce and the tender, the bold and the soft. It's a journey into deeper self-discovery that goes beyond breaking stereotypes to reclaiming the essence of your being.

Embracing the Feminine Rising movement is a natural progression from the Girl Power era. It's about taking the torch of empowerment and carrying it forward into a new era of understanding, acceptance, and collective growth, recognizing that true power emanates from the soul. Let's continue the journey, not just as powerful individuals but as a force that shapes a more equitable and harmonious world for all.

Feminine Rising isn't just a trend; it's a sustainable path to empowerment that begins from within. It's about fostering a lasting change in societal perceptions, dismantling ingrained biases, and creating environments where everyone can thrive.
